 My name is Thomas Greutmann, born in Switzerland, living in Bielefeld, Germany, 42 years old and married. I make a living as a software project manager, mostly on the road.
Photography is one of my hobbies - besides traveling, bicycling and literature. I started with color photography - mostly travel and nature - when I was a teen and I quit this passion for about ten years before I started again just a couple of years ago, this time with black and white photography.
As you will find out in the Gallery I find landscape photography in black and white particularly fascinating. Being “out there” and trying to catch the spirit of the moment and the place with a camera can be very rewarding. And I find black and white photography more challenging than color photography.
As I use the Internet quite a bit - professionally as well as at home - publishing pictures on the web is the logical next step. So I´m building up this black&white gallery to find out how the “old fashioned” way of taking pictures and the hightech way of publishing will mix.
