Some books on photography that have particularly inspired and influenced my photographic work: |

John Hegdgecoe: The Art of Colour Photography, Mitchell Beazley Publishers Ltd., London 1978 It may sound a bit strange that the first book mentioned in the B&W Gallery does not deal with Black & White at all. It is, however, the book that taught me to see when I started with photography - color photography at that time, 20 years back.
John P. Schaefer: An Ansel Adams Guide - Basic Techiques of Photography, Little, Brown and Company, Boston-New York-Toronto-London, First Edition, 1994 I guess there are very few B&W landscape photographers that are not influenced by Ansel Adams one way or the other. He simply paved the way. His way of visualizing images and the use of the zone system for exposure control are still setting the standards.
David Bradford: Drive-By Shootings. Photographs by a New York Taxi Driver, New York Times Co., 1999 I stumbled over this book when browsing a New York art gallery and the images in this book struck me instantly. One of my greatest influences on seeing city landscapes.
Tim Rudman: The Photographer´s Master Printing Course, Reed International Books Limited, 1994. A good coverage of “traditional” darkroom techniques. It is a challenge for me to try these techniques in the digital darkroom.
